She was portraying the role of Peg as a supporting role in the Spanish American comedy for teenagers Out of the Blue (from 1995 to 1996). Burns made her debut on television in 1995 when she was a part of the cast of the Spanish-American teenage sitcom Out of the Blue (1995-1996). Later, she was a part of Baywatch: Hawaii, the sequel to the Baywatch action show. Burns left Baywatch due to her pregnancies.
